An Update On The Vindis Van Service Centre, Cambridge.

Since its official opening in July 2010, the Vindis Van Service Centre in Cambridge has gone from strength to strength.

This latest addition to the extensive Vindis Group portfolio was launched by Nigel, Gary and Jamie Vindis, with staff, customers and Volkswagen Group representatives present.

Operations Director, Jamie Vindis, said: "A couple of years ago we identified that there was a big opportunity for Vindis within the market area that is Cambridge, where we could provide a much better service to our customers than we currently do."

Vindis Volkswagen Van Centre in St. Ives, near Huntingdon, is a 20-minute drive away and Jamie explained the importance of the location of the Cowley Road, Cambridge, site by saying: "Sometimes that 20-minute journey is not a 20-minute journey - it's a couple of hours - and obviously for the commercial vehicle driver, the speed of getting the repairs done and getting back on the road is key."

Cowley Road is also home to Vindis Škoda, Cambridge. Whilst the existing four ramps, used for Škoda servicing and repairs, can be shared by the smaller commercial vehicles, an additional two ramps have been installed in the brand new air-conditioned workshop, for the servicing of larger vehicles such as Crafters.
