Audi wins five at BIVSA 2011

Audi have acquitted themselves well at the recently held 2011 British Insurance Vehicle Security Awards (BIVSA), winning five categories.
The awards are based on the New Vehicle Security Rating (NVSR) criteria. These are a 1-5 star rating system based on a vehicle's ability to withstand theft, both from and of itself.
The winning Audi vehicles were: the A1 (already having a fantastic year at award ceremonies), which won the 'City Car / Supermini' category; the A8, which topped the 'Performance Car' category (making it four years on the trot), the A4, which won 'Compact Executive car'; the A5 Cabriolet, which won 'Open-top Car'; and the Q5, which won 'Compact 4x4'.
Audi has won twenty categories since the BIVSA awards started in 2006. Mike Briggs, Thatcham's vehicle security manager, said that Audi was "top of its game when it comes to vehicle security across the whole range of vehicles, from City Car right through to Luxury".
Audi's UK director Jeremy Hicks stated that he was especially pleased with the recognition given to the Audi A1. That this 'entry-level' Audi continues to win awards is clearly a source of pride for Audi; as Hicks says, they have always been "at pains to emphasise that our approach to bringing a sub-compact hatchback to market was just as uncompromising on every level as it would be for any other Audi model".
