Bedford Audis Customer Focus Evening on the 11th of August

On Thursday 11th August, Bedford Audi hosted its second Customer-focus evening with a team of 25 staff and 73 guests.

Mark Morris, Head of Business at Bedford Audi, launched the first of these evenings in early 2011 with the intention of welcoming recent purchasers back to the centre to meet the team, tour the facilities and to chat informally with staff on a variety of subjects: the technology within their vehicle; how to maintain it in the most efficient way; how to drive safely in different conditions; and current and forthcoming Audi promotions.

Once again, the Bedford Audi team delivered an exceptionally well organised and hosted evening, with the smallest, most unexpected touches heightening customer’s enjoyment. Guests were welcomed to the centre with valet parking, personalised lanyards and a hosted drinks reception. This was followed by a sumptuous banquet of paellas and the evening concluded with a special, personalised gift for each and every customer.

The evening was very much supported by Audi UK and Mark Morris was delighted to welcome onsite Susan Atkinson, Area Sales Manager for Audi UK, and Stuart Palombo, Used Car Area Sales Manager for Audi UK. Susan said, “What’s really good is that you’ve got customers having a look at their cars in the workshop, being taken through aspects of the technology within their cars, what the car does and so on. When a customer picks up their new car it’s a new thing, it’s all very exciting and maybe a bit overwhelming if they have never owned an Audi before. Bedford Audi’s customer-focus evenings present an opportunity for customers to ask questions that they have perhaps been considering in the months since they purchased their car. I’ve not seen this happen in any other area of the country.”

A guest at the event said, “I’ve recently bought a white, pristine Audi TT and I’m very happy with the car and to have been invited this evening. I’m a designer myself and I can really appreciate the design in Audis and that’s one of the reasons I bought it. The beautiful thing about Audi is that it’s all hidden. All of the value adding is behind the scenes.”

Guests were also welcomed to the team from Primo Racing, who Bedford Audi proudly sponsor, and invited to sit in and appreciate the Audi product range displayed within the showroom, from the Audi A1 to the formidable Audi R8 Spyder.

Mark Morris perfectly encompassed the spirit of the evening by saying, “This is our second customer-focus evening. What we’ve tried to do is to show people we are very transparent. They can come and tour the whole building, tour the workshop. We’ve got dedicated appointments in the workshop where people can actually have their car in there, have a look at it, talk to the technician and have some dedicated time with him. We’ve got diagnostic equipment set up in the showroom so people can actually see what we do when we have their vehicles in. The buzz around the centre is really good at the moment.”
