Volkswagen vans win award as Vindis develops its team.
The high standards of service and customer care from Volkswagen Van Centres in the UK has won the Volkswagen Commercial Vehicles Worldwide Aftersales Importer of the Year award.
Criteria for the award, judged against every country that imports Volkswagen Commercial Vehicles, included customer satisfaction ratings, staff training and development programmes, plus a robust strategy to deliver the best aftersales service.
The judges particularly praised Volkswagen Commercial Vehicles in the UK for its focus on staff training, with a record number of Master Technicians throughout its Van Centre network, and initiatives such as its successful “100 per cent Volkswagen.” National Service Pricing and fleet package pricing campaigns also provide the best services and most cost-effective maintenance at Volkswagen Van Centres. “This award is great news for us and our customers,” said Stephen Bateson, head of aftersales and customer services, Volkswagen Commercial Vehicles.
“We’re pleased that our customers are getting world class service, great value and having their vehicles kept in the best condition possible, and also that all our staff have been recognised for being so focused on delivering the best customer service to push Volkswagen’s reputation even higher,” he added.
Meanwhile Vindis Van Service Centre has appointed Juliet Saunders to the Cowley Road site, bringing with her 25 years of commercial vehicle experience.
Juliet, from Willingham, has built her expertise having occupied various job roles for a local commercial vehicle business. Her passion for customer interaction and sales led her to specialise in this field for the past 15 years.
Juliet is responsible for developing the new Volkswagen business which originally opened in July this year as a Volkswagen commercial vehicle service centre. The business has now expanded its offering and has introduced sales and rental facilities.
Juliet said: “I’m delighted to be taking on this role and look forward to establishing relationships with local businesses and van operators.
“I aim to bring new life into the business and continue to develop the high level of customer service that people have come to expect of the Vindis Group.”
Shane Fenwick, Juliet’s manager, said: “Juliet comes with a superb track record and we firmly believe she will make a significant impact on the team and customers.”
