Volkswagen's New CC

Volkswagen CC

Volkswagen have released the UK pricing information for the replacement of the Passat CC, the new CC, and the figures will be great news for anyone looking for a bargain. The new CC made quite a stir on its debut in November last year at the Los Angeles Auto Show. The new CC builds on the firm foundations of the Passat, maintaining the coupe look and the the basic four door shell, but has been brought up to date with some elegant styling on the body.

CC Specifications
The Volkswagen CC comes with an impressive selection of features for the standard specification, including: adjustable front seat head restraints (reducing the chance of whiplash injuries), ESP electronic stabilisation programme and driver alert system, brake energy recuperation, 17-inch alloy wheels, 2 zone climate control, bi-xenon headlights, iPod and Bluetooth connectivity, DAB digital radio and the RNS 315 touchscreen satellite navigation system.

With the GT specification more features become available, with tinted heat insulating glass, front fog lights, front and rear parking sensors, heated front seats, 18-inch alloy wheels, cruise control, automatic dipping headlights, electrically deployed towbar and rear view cameras.

Engine and Pricing
The range for the UK consists of three engine options, first a 2.0 litre TDI common rail diesel, a 2.0 litre TSI PS Petrol and a 1.8 litre TSI 160 PS petrol. The entry level 1.8 Volkswagen CC will be priced at around £24,200 with the top of the range GT 2.0 litre TDI 170 PS DSG with BlueMotion technology retailing from around £30,100.

We understand that the new CC is available for order from UK retailers now, with the first deliveries due to arrive on these shores mid April. We expect there to be no shortage of interest in Volkswagen's latest CC.
