Audi's usual attention to detail means that this soft top's noise-reducing hood not only actually does reduce noise, but can be raised or lowered quickly whilst doing up to 30 mph. That's not to say it's noisy with the roof up; just the contrary. Surprisingly quiet, it will comfortably seat four adults and has 320 litres of boot space even with the roof down. It would be a mistake to think of this big convertible as a sports car. Instead expect a classy cruiser that delivers a smooth, luxurious ride, holds the road admirably and corners comfortably. And it will still shift when you want it to: 0-60mph in 7.5 seconds for the 2.0 litre version.
