Volkswagen » Eos

The Eos is a comfortable ride and copes well with bumpy surfaces and corners. It will do 0-60mph in under 8 seconds and has a top speed of 144mph. Fuel economy varies, from 34.4mpg up to 48.7mpg for the 2.0 TDI (you will sacrifice some speed for this). The boot isn't massive (205 litres with the roof lowered, 380 litres otherwise), nor is legroom in the rear seats, but then this is a car for singles and couples and not families. A common problem in open-topped cars is wobbly dashboard, but the quality of build eliminates that issue, and some nice features like rear a parking sensor and electronic stability control are standard, as is an alarm and immobiliser.
