The Vindis Group was established in 1960 when Frank Vindis, a former World War II Czech Spitfire pilot, left the RAF. The first Vindis business was born in Sawston, Cambridgeshire, and now the group is run by Frank's sons Gary and Nigel. As joint Managing Directors, they have grown the company to include 5 Volkswagen and 2 Skoda retailers, 4 Audi centers, a Volkswagen Van Center and a large paint and body repair shop.

The Vindis group philosophy is simple but effective. Based on old fashioned values of honesty, integrity, respect and care, these principles benefit both customers and staff, helping to promote a family atmosphere. Employees now number about 600 and include many very long serving and experienced people.
