Our Bedford Audi retailer was recently visited by YouTube sensation and automotive influencer, Mat Armstrong, in search of a very specific part for his incredible 2014 Audi RS6 GT3 inspired build for SEMA at the end of October in Las Vegas.
Mat Armstrong is well-known for his unique, authentic, and risky salvage car rebuilds on YouTube, purchasing categorised luxury vehicles and rebuilding them to their former glory, sometimes being fitted with modifications along the way. Mat had recently purchased a crash-damaged 2014 Audi RS6 as the template for his SEMA show car. SEMA is a premier trade show and purely a trade-only event that enables automotive specialty equipment manufacturers to exhibit alongside automotive manufacturers to debut new, innovative products, and connect with industry buyers from all over the world. Mat’s RS6 is attending the show under one of the exhibitors and due to be shipped abroad later in September with its new look.
Bedford Audi came to Mat’s aid as he was in search of a part
crucial to the 2014 RS6’s performance and also an outstanding recall on his
particular vehicle. This part is known as the oil strainer. Multiple members of
our Bedford Audi staff were on hand to share their expert knowledge and answer
any questions Mat had, including an explanation as to why this recall and part
were so important to have complete, as well as the process of removal and
fitting. We also provided Mat with an air conditioning service whilst he was
here.
It was a pleasure assisting Mat and we wish him good luck and safe travels to Las Vegas in October. He was also kind enough to add the Vindis Group logo to the livery of his car, which means Vindis will also be somewhat present across the pond.
