Discreet performance is the watchword for the VWR Upgrade Packages; enhanced midrange driveability is just as important as additional top-end power; we seek a richer sound from the new high-flow exhaust rather than simply a louder noise.

What's included in the VWR Upgrade Package?
So, how do Volkswagen Racing improve on a car as capable as a Golf or Scirocco? Select a VWR Upgrade Package and your Volkswagen will have a new performance rear exhaust fitted with subtly enlarged tailpipes and a high-flow air filter, together with a matched revision to the engine’s management software to exploit this improved efficiency. The result: 90Nm more mid-range torque and an increase in power to 250bhp, whilst retaining the economy and reliability demanded of the standard car.
Behind the wheel, as well as the noticeably improved responses from the engine, you will instantly enjoy the enhanced soundtrack from the new exhaust, painstakingly engineered to be barely louder than standard but delivering a richer and more dynamic tone under acceleration.

We wouldn't expect you to trust your high-performance Volkswagen to just anyone. That's why the VWR Package can only be supplied by selected Volkswagen Retailers, and fitted by their fully trained technicians.
Only once checked and signed-off will it be returned to its owner, complete with a certificate of authenticity in the handbook, and 'R' badge on the boot.
