The ultimate racing duo – Marc Márquez and the Ducati Panigale V2 S
Racing pedigree was on full display at the Aspar Circuit on 9 January, when motorbike racing superstar Marc Márquez rode in the Ducati Panigale V2 S for the first time. He joins a distinguished line-up of fellow riders including Alex Márquez, David Alonso, Dani Holgado, Izan Guevara, Tony Arbolino, Filip Salac, Sergio García, Ángel Piqueras and Máximo Quiles.
Márquez signed up with Ducati Corse and joined the Ducati Lenovo Team back in June 2024, and took to the Valencian track on the dynamic Panigale V2 S, which he’ll continue to use for his personal training. As one of the most successful riders in history, Márquez’s addition to the Ducati team is hugely significant as the team set their sights on securing the MotoGP title for 2025.
The racing prowess of the Ducati Panigale V2 S
The Ducati Panigale V2 S offers a thrilling balance of lightweight agility, power and exceptional performance, inspired by the Panigale V4. With 118bhp from its V-twin engine, it delivers the perfect amount of power for both road and track enthusiasts. The bike’s precision handling, aggressive braking and incredible cornering ability provide a true racing thrill.
Lighter and more agile than the V2, the V2 S sports a refined chassis that excels in both stability and speed. The new design, including a lightweight cast aluminium frame and V4-inspired double-sided swingarm, improves handling and control.
The V2 S is a perfect blend of road comfort and track potential – making it a dream bike for both road riders and track day enthusiasts. Reserve yours now by clicking the link below and be one of the first to get your hands on this exhilarating new model!

General Manager of Ducati Corse, Luigi Dall’Igna, expressed his optimism and praise in his comments:
“First of all, I want to thank both Enea Bastianini and Jorge Martín for all their work with us over the last few years, and I wish them all the best for the future. This season, they have shown they have reached an incredible level, and we are sure they will be in the title fight until the end. Deciding on Bagnaia's new teammate in the Ducati Lenovo Team was not easy, as we had a list of very strong riders to choose from.
“In the end, our choice fell on an unquestionable talent like Marc Márquez. In just a few races, he has managed to adapt perfectly to our Desmosedici GP, and his innate ambition pushes him to grow continuously. In the box, we will have two riders who together hold 11 world titles, and being able to count on their experience and maturity will be invaluable for our growth as well.”
In his own words, Márquez also expressed positive sentiments on his new signing and his outlook towards his racing future:
“I am very happy to be able to wear the red colours of the factory Ducati team in MotoGP next season. Basically, from the first contact with the Desmosedici GP, I enjoyed riding it and adapted well straight away. From that moment on, I knew that my goal was to continue this path, to continue to grow and to move to the team where Pecco Bagnaia has been the World Champion for two years in a row.
“I am happy to be able to take this big step in 2025 and grateful for the trust Ducati has placed in me. Finally, I want to thank Nadia, Carlo, Michele and the entire Gresini Racing family for opening the door of their team to me at a delicate time in my career. Now, we will continue to have fun and give it our all in what remains of the current season, which is my priority right now.”
