How it works
We're sure you'll love your new ID. model, however if it's not right for you, you can return your car between 80 to 100 days after your handover. Once it's been returned, you'll receive a refund minus reasonable costs like damage, modification repairs, depreciation, Ohme wall box charges and finance deductions!

Charging your Volkswagen EV from home
Charging your electric Volkswagen at home makes ownership simpler and more cost-effective. When you purchase a Volkswagen EV, home charger installation is often included, allowing you to easily recharge overnight and start every day fully powered.

Make your money go further with EV grants
Need an extra incentive to switch? In July 2025, the Government announced an Electric Car Grant scheme offering funding for UK buyers of certain battery electric vehicles which meet criteria relating to pricing and environmental impact (among others).
A number of Volkswagen ID.3 models have met the ‘Band 2’ criteria, allowing you to enjoy a £1,500 saving on an ID.3.**

Because of this, Volkswagen provide customers with a warranty for up to 8 years or 100,000 miles from point of first registration (whichever comes first), to ensure your battery retains 70% of its original capacity. This warranty is available from new and can be passed on to future owners.

Figures shown are for comparability purposes; only compare fuel consumption, CO2 and equivalent electric range figures with other vehicles tested to the same technical procedures. These figures may not reflect real-life driving results, which will depend upon a number of factors, including the accessories fitted (post-registration), variations in weather, driving styles, speed, vehicle age, vehicle load (and, for battery electric vehicles and plug-in hybrid vehicles, the starting charge of the battery and battery age). Figures for plug-in hybrid vehicles were obtained using a combination of battery power and fuel. Plug-in hybrid vehicles require mains electricity for charging. **The Electric Car Grant is a UK Government grant to promote the purchase of certain new electric vehicles. The grant is not exclusive to Volkswagen Group United Kingdom Limited. Selected Volkswagen ID.3 models are eligible for this Grant within Band 2, meaning eligible customers purchasing a qualifying vehicle will receive £1,500 off the purchase price.
