In July 2025, the Government announced an​ Electric Car Grant scheme offering funding for UK buyers of certain battery electric vehicles which meet criteria relating to pricing and environmental impact (among others). A number of Volkswagen ID.3 models have met the ‘Band 2’ criteria, allowing you to enjoy a £1,500 saving on an ID.3^.

In the meantime, Volkswagen is pleased to announce a £1,500⁠ Volkswagen UK Grant Guarantee*. This is only available to Retail customers who place an order of one of the vehicles listed below between 30th July and 31st August. Customers must take delivery from 1st September.

*UK & selected ID.3 models only. To qualify, purchase price (incl. options) must be less than £42,000. Grant provided by UK Government, may be changed/withdrawn at any time. Ask your retailer for details. The Electric Car Grant is a UK Government grant to promote the purchase of certain new electric vehicles. Selected Volkswagen models are currently pending eligibility approval for this scheme. If these vehicles are approved and included in the scheme, then customers purchasing a qualifying vehicle will receive £1,500 off the purchase price through the Government grant. The saving of £1,500 will be automatically applied to the on-the-road price on the retail invoice for your vehicle. The Volkswagen UK Grant Guarantee offer is open to retail customers in UK, excluding Channel Islands and Isle of Man, aged 18+. Offer applies only when ordering an eligible vehicle between 30 July 2025 and 31 August 2025 and taking delivery/completing the purchase on or after 1 September 2025. Offer excludes ID.3 GTX, stock units of ID.3 with 77kW batteries and ID.4 Life, ID.4 Style, ID.4 Style Edition, ID.4 Family, ID.4 Max, ID.4 GTX, ID.4 GTX Edition, ID.4 Pro 4Motion. New cars only. ^The Electric Car Grant is a UK Government grant to promote the purchase of certain new electric vehicles. The grant is not exclusive to Volkswagen Group United Kingdom Limited. Selected Volkswagen ID.3 models are eligible for this Grant within Band 2, meaning eligible customers purchasing a qualifying vehicle will receive £1,500 off the purchase price. The grant is available when purchasing selected Volkswagen ID.3 models. The £1,500 will be automatically deducted from the purchase price for your vehicle on the retail invoice. Any discount or offer will be applied before application of the grant. Your authorised Volkswagen retailer will submit the details of your order in order to claim the grant funding.
