An urban SUV with a fantastic design concept combined with the turning circle of a small compact car: the new ID.4 shows how attractive electric mobility can be. With perfectly shaped Alloy wheels as standard, a roof railing for additional luggage, recessed door handles from improved aerodynamics, LED lights front and rear and optional tow-bar – the ID.4 is an ideal 100% electric 100% SUV.

Intuitive design and technology

The interactive ID. Light welcomes you inside, before a subtle sound when starting the vehicle inspires you to drive off immediately. The dash panel in the ID.4 does without physical buttons and switches. The most important information is shown on a compact 13.5cm (5.3-inch) display above the steering wheel. You can operate the display with the multifunction steering wheel with haptic feedback buttons. You control the driving modes and the e-parking brake using the rocker switch on the right of the display. When you then leave your ID.4, the vehicle bids you farewell with light signals and sound.

Welcome to open space

The interior of the new ID.4 is so intelligently and spaciously designed that it offers you and your family an impressive sense of space. You notice this the moment you get in: plenty of legroom, a variable centre console and comfortable seats. This is rounded out by a central touch display of 25.4 cm (10 inches) together with a multifunction steering wheel featuring touch operation and vibration feedback. The background lighting in your chosen colours emphasises the lounge character. With no centre tunnel the floor in the rear is completely flat which makes for additional space to emphasise the inspiring dimensions.

Full speed ahead

Every red traffic light becomes a new start where you can experience a completely new kind of driving pleasure. The electric motor of the ID.4 accelerates dynamically from a standstill with the motor’s full torque. For example, the Pro Performance-based models with 204PS (150kW) system power can take you from 0 to 62mph in only 8.5 seconds. No shifting, no delay – just drive off and experience the pure thrill. Comfortably drive to the office in the morning, take the children to school before hand and drive home in the evening – no problem with a single battery charge as the ID.4 Life 'Pro Performance' has a WLTP* combined range of up to 328 miles on the 77kWh net battery capacity and 204PS power output.

This car sounds new

How quiet an electric car is depends entirely on the vehicle. To make road traffic safer, your ID.4 is quieter on the inside up to a speed of 18 mph and can be heard a little more clearly outside. This makes it more noticeable for pedestrians. The futuristic composition emphasises its visionary identity and simultaneously provides an artificially generated vehicle noise as an audible indication of the almost noiseless electric drives for pedestrians and cyclists.

Finding a charging station

Through We Charge Volkswagen offers you the fitting solution for charging your ID.4 in public when on the go. Remarkably simple to use via the We Connect ID. app, you can find available charging stations nearby, plan routes with automatic charging stop recommendations and automatically pay for your charging via your We Charge charging tariff⁠ – including monthly billing and complete cost control. Throughout Europe you have access to approx. 150,000 charging points⁠ including the whole IONITY quick charging network, which offers varying preferential terms depending on the charging tariff. IONITY quick charging stations enable extremely short charging times and – where available in the country in question – operated with 100% renewable energy sources. The charging process at the charging stations can be started practically using the We Charge charging card or via the We Connect ID. app.
