NicolòBulega embraces the Ducati spirit at the Aragon test
The most recent test saw Nicolò Bulega back in action, taking to the track aboard the highly anticipated 2026 Ducati Panigale V4 R. Sharing the circuit with other WorldSBK riders and teams, Bulega wasted no time making an impression, topping the timesheets on the opening day of testing.
Bulega didn’t just ride the 2026 machine; he also had his 2025 Panigale V4 R on hand. With the World Superbike title fight heating up, Bulega is currently trailing Toprak Razgatlioğlu by just 26 points, with four rounds left in the season – including the upcoming Aragon round taking place from 26 to 28 September.
This isn’t Bulega’s first taste of the 2026 Panigale. He previously tested the bike at Misano earlier in the year. Development has been a team effort, with Ducati test rider Michele Pirro also logging important miles on the new model. Both riders have been seen aboard the machine in its striking red-and-black camouflage livery.
A changing line-up
According to GPOne, Bulega’s teammate Álvaro Bautista is also set to test the 2026 Panigale V4 R during the two-day Aragon session. Bautista recently confirmed that he’ll be moving to the Barni Spark Racing Team for 2026 – staying within the Ducati family but handing over his factory seat to Iker Lecuona for next season.

These changes are expected to set a new benchmark for Ducati’s track-focused super bikes, continuing the legacy of dominance that the V4 R has built over the years.
