Wins aplenty for CUPRA at the 2025 What Car? EV Car of the Year Awards

EV Car of the Year Awards with Best Electric Family Car and Best Used Electric Family Car. And that wasn’t the only model that impressed: the upcoming CUPRA Raval also claimed the Reader Award after being voted for by the public themselves.
Championing the CUPRA Born’s success

What Car? praised the Born’s dynamic handling, swift performance and sleek, sporty design that puts driver engagement at its core. The 228bhp electric motor delivers effortless power, while driving modes can be easily selected via a button on the steering wheel – no fiddling with infotainment menus required.
As a used EV, the Born was applauded for its stylish and upmarket interior, comfortable ride, practical range and sharper handling than its rivals.
It leapfrogged the competition to claim its well-deserved top spot.
The CUPRA Born – Electrifying in every way
The CUPRA Born is the brand’s first fully electric vehicle – a bold blend of sporty design, everyday usability and cutting-edge technology. Available in three trims (Born, Born VZ and V1) and with a choice of 59kWh or 79kWh battery, it offers a range of up to 354 miles (WLTP) on a single charge.
Inside, you’ll find a premium and connected driving experience through the 12.9-inch infotainment system with real-time navigation, access to online media and seamless smartphone integration via Apple CarPlay and Android Auto.Plus the Born’s stylish supportive bucket-style seats are made from premium materials like eco-friendly Dinamica and SEAQUAL yarn and come equipped with heat and massage functions with 12-way electronic adjustment, so that every drive is tailored to your comfort.
Born to impress and get you from A to B safely, the CUPRA Born also comes equipped with a host of driving assistance features, including adaptive cruise control, rear traffic alert, intelligent park assist and much more!
Raval-ling in the excitement
Out of a 14-model shortlist, the public were asked to choose the electric car they are most excited about. Conducted through What Car?’s social media channels, the CUPRA Raval came out on top!
Born from the bold UrbanRebel concept, the CUPRA Raval is due to be released in 2026 to take all-electric urban driving to a new level. Emotional design, high performance and sustainability come together in one compact head-turning package!
With up to 226PS, the Raval accelerates from 0 to 62 mph in just 6.9 seconds and offers a range of up to 273 miles of range. It integrates recycled polymers, bio-based materials and cutting-edge 3D printing and knitting techniques to deliver lightweight efficiency with a premium feel.
