Good-looking, practical, spacious, easy to drive, comfortable to travel in and super-affordable, the Škoda Enyaq iV is a very tempting proposition.
We’re burying the lead somewhat because it’s also an all-electric vehicle, which means it’s extremely cost-effective to run and maintain, and produces zero CO2 emissions. It also offers a range of up to 246 miles (entry-level ‘60’ trims) or 339 miles (second-tier ‘80’ trims).
Another thing we’ve neglected to mention: this SUV comes very well-equipped as standard. For instance, ‘60’ trims ride on 19-inch alloy wheels and feature LED headlights, black roof rails and a dapper rear spoiler.
Access to both passenger compartments is made simple thanks to doors that open nice and wide. A roomy five-seat cabin features numerous cubby spaces, while a 585-litre boot grows to 1,710 litres whenever rear seats are folded.
Infotainment highlights include an eight-speaker sound system (with DAB radio, USB-C ports and Bluetooth connectivity), Android/Apple SmartLink and a satellite navigation system.
Rated a maximum five stars following rigorous Euro NCAP crash-testing, the Enyaq IV features myriad safety features, including a rear-view camera and front and rear parking sensors.
